Following on from Caroline and Lorraine’s brilliant achievement of winning All Stars this year, I decided to list all of Kerry’s winners since they were first launched in 1980. In total the Kingdom ladies have amassed 84 All Star awards, with the most productive period being in Kerry’s golden era of the 1980’s. The great Mary Jo Curran leads the way with a record 11 awards, while Marina Barry is out on her own with 6, closely followed by Bridget Leen, Eileen Lawlor and Geraldine O’Shea with 5, while Annette Walsh and Dell Whyte claimed 5.
The current Kerry ladies team can lay claim to having 7 All Stars in their ranks with Louise Ni Mhuircheartaigh and Sarah Houlihan with 2 a piece, while Aislinn Desmond, Lorraine Scanlon and Caroline Kelly have one each.
