A Dream start of two goals paved the way for Aghada`s success in the Munster LGFA Junior club final with Finuge St Senans in Mallow .Aileen McGrath hit the net in the first minute and a minute later Christine Moran found the net to put Aghada two goals up , Miriam opened the scoring for the Kerry girls after eight minutes but were finding it hard to hit the target .Hannah Looney struck a good point and Emma Farmer finished the half with two points to make the half time score in this Munster Junior Club Championship Final Aghada (Cork) 2-3 Finuge St. Senan’s (Kerry) 0-1
The Kerry girls started the second half in determined fashion with two points from captain Jakie Horgan, a pointed free from Miriam O Keefe mid way in the half had reduced the gap to five points . A pointed free from Emma Farmer steadied the Aghada nerves and a minute later she was pulled down in the square for a penalty she picked herself up and used her soccer experience to slot the ball expertly to the net. The Kerry girls fought back but wayward shooting left them down they did have a great goal scoring chance but Roisin Phelan got across to block down ,they did manage a late point but were left to rue the great start they gave Aghada final score Aghada 3-04 Finuge St Senans 0-05. Aghada will now contest the All Ireland semi final against the Connaught champions
