Kerry LGFA Awards Night

Friday 9th December saw Kerry LGFA hold their annual Awards night in Killarney Oaks Hotel. It was a hugely successful year that brought success at u14, Minor & Senior Intercounty. The nights MC was Radio Kerry’s Elaine Kinsella and the night began with the Kerry U14 All Ireland Platinum Champions being presented with a framed photograph of the team by their manager Jeremiah O’Sullivan. The management were presented with a token of their appreciation for all their hard work throughout the season. The Minor team were then presented with their medals for winning the Munster Minor B Championship Final for a second year in a row by their goalkeeping coach Joby Costello. The Kerry Senior Team were presented with their Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 2 winners medals after defeating Armagh in the Final and their All Ireland Finals runner up medals after defeat by Meath by joint managers Darragh Long & Declan Quill.
All management teams spoke on the night of their immense pride in their teams and acknowledged the success of each others teams has brought the county this season. Chairperson Selina Looney spoke of her immense pride of all the teams and thanked them for all they have done in 2022. She also thanked the parents of the players for their support throughout the season.
Awards were also presented to the clubs with awards for club of the year and player of the match awards being presented on the night for winners of the Randles Brothers County Championship Senior, Intermediate & Junior Finals

Outgoing County Board executive officers Debbie Hannan and Anthony Curran were presented with a memento on the night to acknowledge the work they have done over the last five years. The night ended with Chairperson Selina Looney wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and a prosperous new year and thanking all the staff at the Killarney Oaks Hotel for hosting a successful night
