To be completed by anyone who has played GAA sport(s) between the ages of 18-23-years ONLY
My name is Niamh Doherty. I am a Health Science and Physiology third-year student and part of my third-year fulfilment is to complete a research study.
I am currently conducting a study on potential reasons for drop-out rate in adults aged 18-23 years in GAA sport(s). The aim of the study is to gain insight into potential factors that influence drop-out rates in adults who play GAA sport(s).
I would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill out the questionnaire which consists of questions related to potential factors that could have influenced you to stop playing GAA sport(s). There are different sections to be completed in the questionnaire including current GAA sport status, possible factors of influence and whether you regret dropping out. Your response to the questionnaire will be kept confidential. The questionnaire will take approximately 2-5 minutes to complete. Your participation will be an important addition to my research and the findings will be used to complete my final year project.
The study was approved for completion by the Ethics Committee in the Department of Health and Nutritional Science and will be conducted under the supervision of Irina Uzhova, Lecturer.
Your participation is entirely voluntary. I have attached a Participant Information Sheet which provides information on the study and what it involves. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by email at S00184821@mail.itsligo.ie
If you are willing to participate in my study, please complete the consent form attached with the questionnaire by clicking the URL link below:
