Seamus Mulvihill To Ref National League Final On Sunday.

The top refs are needed for the big games, and once again the LGFA have called upon St Senans man Seamus Mulvihill to referee a National Final.
Seamus will take charge of the whistle for the Cavan v Westmeath Lidl National Football league Division 2 final in Parnell Park next Sunday May 7th, and it is a massive and well deserved honour for the genial North Kerry man.
Seamus is no stranger to refereeing national finals as he was in charge of the All Ireland Junior final between Louth and Scotland in 2015 as well as refereeing finals at all levels in Kerry and Munster. He took charge of the 2016 O’Connor Cup final when UCD defeated UL.
It is obvious to see how Seamus has risen to the top in the refereeing game. Good communication skills and a fair but firm application of the rules enable him to stand out amongst his peers. He has huge respect at all levels from the players.
Seamus is at the top of his game when it comes to the men’s side of  things as well, and in 2015 he had the ultimate honour when he was chosen to referee the Kerry County Championship final between South Kerry and Legion, a game which finished in a draw.
The great love of Seamus’ life is his girlfriend Emer who he has been with for 9 years. She is by all accounts a very patient woman.
Seamus is of the opinion the the ladies football rule where you can pick the ball off the ground with your hand should be introduced into the men’s game , and with over 19 years of reffing experience under his belt he is a man that knows what he is talking about.
Sunday is certain to be a big day once more in Seamus’ refereeing career and he wishes to convey his thanks to everyone that has send him good will wishes and messages over the last few days. He is also very grateful to his dedicated umpires who will once again be on hand at next Sunday’s final.
All in Kerry Ladies Football send our best wishes to Seamus and we are certain that he will do a fantastic job as always !
