The Kerry v Tipperary Match report, The Liam O'Connor Gala Concert, Minor trials commence, Bord Na nOg and Fixtures to meet with all juvenile Clubs and congrats to Ann Eager.

Kerry 5-14 Tipperary 1-10
Kerry collected their first points of the new season with minimum fuss as they outclassed a game Tipperary from the first to last blow of James Flood whistle. Kerry put down their marker in the first few minutes and were 3-2 to 0-1 to the good after 7 minutes with Patrice Dennehy from the penalty spot, Mary O’Keefe and Louise Ni Mhuirtceartaigh all goaled.
In truth Kerry were always a handful for Tipperary and were really crisp in passing and always had a player looking to create space as Ni Mhuirtceartaigh had her second goal on the 20th min. At this stage Kerry were 4-4 to 0-2 points ahead. Kerry’s points coming from O'Keefe and 3 from Mhuirtceartaigh as the Kerry full forward line worked well together. Tipperary, who recently lost their Senior status did finish the last minutes stronger with Shauna Ryan adding 2 pointed frees to the tally which came in reply to late Kerry points from Dennehy, O’Keefe,Houlihan and Mhuirtceartaigh to leave the first half score 4-8 to 0-4.
Kerry ran the changes in the second half as Megan Galvin and Elaine O’Connor made their debuts while Sarah Jane Joy replaced Lorraine Scanlon at Midfield. Patrice Dennehy added an early Kerry goal in the second half but took the leg off the pedal somewhat and did enough to see Tipperary off at arm’s length. William O’Sullivan will have been happy with the first outing of the season but much tougher opposition will have to be tackled in the weeks to come with Mayo’s standout victory against Galway catching the eye.
Our next Senior game is on Sunday the 12th and we are at home to Fermanagh in Kilcummin at the earlier time of 12.30 and the following week, we again are at home to Cavan and this game will throw in, in Finuge also at the earlier time of 12.30
And many congratulations to Bernie Breen, Aisling Leonard and Louise Ni Mhuirtceartaigh as they have been called up as replacement All Stars along with Edel Murphy for the upcoming All Star trip in May to Toronto Canada.
