Congrats to ISK in winning the Kerry Ladies Post Primary 1st year blitz held today in Duagh. 8 Schools participated, Mercy Mounthawk with 3 teams, ISK with 2, Presentation Milltown 2 teams, Colaiste Ida agus Josef Abbeyfeale 2 teams, plus Presentaion Tralee, Pobail Scoil Corca Dhuibhne and Tarbert Comprehensive.

The competition had 3 groups of 4 teams and each had 3 games in the group stage with the winner of each group going into the hat. The 3 Group winners were both of ISK’s teams and Tarbert, both ISK’s teams drew each other in the semi final and Team Red went to meet Tarbert  Comprehensive in the final.  A cracking final between both teams saw ISK emerge victorious with just 2 points to spare on a score line of ISK 2-5 Tarbert 2-3.

The news from the blitz. Kerry Ladies will run a 1st year league commencing in the next 3 weeks, all schools will be contacted by Liz Twomey (Kerry LGFA Schools Officer) with more information. Also more news from Liz to follow on the Junior and Senior leagues and championships, with starting dates to be confirmed asap.

Due to ladies football all ireland there is NO DEVELOPMENT SQUADS FOR U12 OR U13 on this Saturday 26th September. They return on Sat 3rd October.

The Kerry U13 development continues this  Saturday the 19th September at Mounthawk Secondary School Tralee for all clubs at 10 am. The U 13 development is for player’s born in 2002 only. All players must wear gum shield’s & bring their own bottled water. PLAYERS WITH NO GUM SHIELDS WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT.
