Venue Announced For Kerry U/14’s V Cork On Saturday 18th March.

The Kerry U/14 girls will take their first step towards retaining the Munster championship that they won so impressively last year when they take on Cork next Saturday in  Naomh Abán (New Pitch) Ballyvourney at 2pm.

Kerry retain two of that title winning side with Rachel Dwyer captaining the team and Ciara Butler continuing in goals.

It will be interesting to see how both sides perform given the fact that they are destined to meet in the Munster final further down the line. Kerry will be anxious not to give Cork any psychological advantage however, and manager John Doona has his girls well prepared for the task ahead.

Kerry Name Their Team For Monaghan Challenge.

Kerry senior ladies manager Graham Shine has made two changes to the line up for the visit of Monaghan to Listowel for Round 4 of the Lidl National football league Division 1 which takes place on Sunday at 12 noon.

Elaine O’Sullivan of Southern Gaels returns to goals at the expense of Erris O’Carroll whle Emma Sherwood of Firies comes back into the team at full forward, with Megan O’Connell dropping to the bench.

Kerry defeated Monaghan by 11 points in the corresponding fixture last year, however Monaghan hammered Kerry by 16 points in the All Ireland quarter final last August.

Both Monaghan and Kerry have 3 points from their first 3 games so a win for either side would be a huge boost in their bid to avoid a relegation struggle .

With players of the calibre of Ciara McAnespie, Cora Courtney and Caoimhe Mohan to call upon they will be difficult to beat but Kerry can take great encouragement from their second half performance against Donegal last Sunday.

Throw in on Sunday is at 12 noon in Listowel.
